Monthly McAlester News-Capital Roundup

Another month comes and goes, and with it comes and goes another month’s worth of stories. I remember last summer as a constant scramble to come up with things to write about in the three months between the end of the spring and start of the fall high school seasons.

If anything, this year I’ve felt like I have too many things to try and cover, and I worry about (and have taken some crap for) missing a potentially big sports thing in the area.

Between those two states, I’ll always take the latter. Plus, to me that shows development as a journalist that I now see potential stories that I couldn’t a year ago.

Here’s everything I wrote in May.
